No matter in factories or at home, dust emission is always a great headache in stone fabrication works, messing up the working environment as well as posing threat to our respiratory health. To solve this problem, dust collectors step onto the stage. A wide variety of dust collecting equipment has emerged and kept advancing, aiming to improve our working environment and spare our health hazards by cleaning those dust and debris as much as possible. And in this essay, I’m going to give a brief introduction to these health protectors.
Just as we all know, every dust collector works the same way: using air pressure difference by causing a vacuum environment to collect dust and debris and dispose of them altogether. It works totally the same in stone fabrication works, but considering efficiency and cost-effectiveness, the best choice for different situations varies a lot.
1. Dust collectors of big size
In large factories where the dust and debris are generated on a large scale, cleaning equipment is consequentially supposed to be large-sized. Here is the raizi water dust cleaning equipment, especially designed for collecting industrial grinding particles.
Raizi water dust cleaning equipment not only deploys the strong vacuum suction power to collect harmful dust and particles but also guides them flow into the water tank by inviting water in beside the filter layer. The device is equipped with reinforced stainless steel, and thus has a satisfyingly longer service life; its internal silent fan also ensures a lower noise level, protecting both your hearing and respiratory system. Its suitable power supply is either 380V/50Hz or 220V/60Hz (each meeting the needs of different regions) and the purification rate is around 98%.
2. Dust collector used on grinders
This kind of collector is designed for household usage, and the included devices are small in size and mainly engaged in the “collecting” part: they should be attached to a vacuum dust cleaner to complete a whole “dust collector”. Technically, they are more a dust shroud than a dust collector.
A. Universal angle grinder dust shroud
This kind of shroud is made for the process of polishing and grinding. By entirely covering working pieces, like polishing pads and diamond cup wheels, it can take away 90 to 95% of chippings, particles and dust during the procedure without reducing any efficiency. It is also equipped with steel balls for connection to reduce the complexity of assembly and the possibility to get stuck as dust accumulates. It has three different sizes to fit in different tools. It has three sizes: 4 inches, 5 inches, and 7 inches in diameter.
B. Cutting blade dust shroud
This kind of shroud is designed to collect harmful dust and debris from the cutting process, during which it should be parallel to cutting blades and vertical to stone materials. The shroud body can partially cover a cutting device with an adjustable fender, which can also help to change cutting depth(0 to 30 mm). This device is also compatible with angle grinders, and fit for 4.5- to 5-inch cutting blades(the shroud is 5 inches in size). And the purification rate is around 90-95%.
3. Electric hammer drill dust collector
This kind of shroud is made for electric hammer. Unlike the former ones, this shroud would not follow working devices to move around. Instead, it should be placed right on the targeted position on a wall before a hammer drill sets to work. Its rubber seal provides a firm grip on the wall, and its brush ring on the rim of back hole also helps to prevent dust from flying around.
This kind of tool also needs a dust cleaner to create a vacuum. The back hole varies in size from 35mm to 132mm, capable to cover any sized hammer drill bits and take away dust they make during working.
Generally, the dust collection systems mentioned above are all used for providing a cleaner working environment and protecting workers health. The big-sized cleaning machine boasts the highest efficiency and performance, but is unwieldy and costly so only fits factory use; other small devices are small in size and easy to use, but need to be used with other cleaning machines. In addition, these kinds of devices are mostly used for tools of dry application, which do not have flowing water to take away harmful dust and particles. Therefore, the shrouds, to some extent, are equivalent to water in the wet use process, and so its cost can be spared if you choose to buy a wet use possible tool in the beginning.
As we all know, dry and wet use have their own pros and cons respectively, but in the field of elongating product’s life and sparing dust and debris, wet use ones are always what I would recommend for our customers.
OK, this is all the content of the essay. I hope it can be helpful for you.
Raizi tool: good tools, easy work~
